2016 ArtSeen Tour Call for Artists

ARTSEEN LOGO OFFICIAL

ArtSeen Tour — October 15 & 16 — noon-5pm both days.

The time has come – we are now registering our artists for the 2016 ArtSeen Tour.  This is our 6th year, and we continue to grow and improve.   We are limiting the Tour geographically this year to only Downtown Frisco, along Main Street from Preston Road to the Dallas North Tollway.  This has been the heart of our Tour in years past, and we feel that by condensing our artists, we can make it easy for guests to see all of the artists easily.

The tour will begin at thegallery8680 and Crafted on the east end of Main Street,  and move west to Fresh Paint Studio, downtown merchants, Frisco Square, Art in the Atrium at City Hall and the Frisco Discovery Center.  We have artists in galleries, exhibits, home studios, and some hosted by downtown merchants and other out-of-the-box locations.  Collin College will also join us again in exhibiting work by their faculty and students.

If you want to join us, there is still room!  Early bird registration ends on September 1 (only $25), and regular registration ends September 12 ($40).  Details can be found here.

We look forward to another successful Tour this year!

CFAs and new shows for early 2015

As many of the northeastern states are preparing for a record-breaking blizzard tonight, we enjoyed a balmy 70 degrees here in Frisco today.    This warm weather is a little reminder that spring is around the corner, and with that, lots of new spring art events.  But while we wait, here are some great events you can find all over town right now.

Frisco’s Arts in the Square festival will be celebrating its 5th year this March, and the deadline for applications is quickly approaching.  We’ve seen the festival really grow over the past couple of years, so this is the perfect time to become a part of one of Frisco’s best spring art events.  For more information on this event and to find out how to apply, go to http://www.friscosquare.com/aits. Deadline:  January 30.

Thegallery8680 will present it’s first group exhibit of 2015 during February : RED.  Join the artists at the opening reception on Friday, February 6 from 7-9pm. Thegallery8680 is located at 8680 W. Main St., Frisco, 75033.   For more information, visit http://www.thegallery8680.com.
